Lucas Romano

Founder & CEO

Lucas Romano is a security practitioner with nearly a decade of experience in the tech industry excelling in roles across intelligence, defensive, and offensive work. His career spans the US Navy, the NSA, and some of the most demanding roles in the private sector.

Before founding Praesec he worked at multiple startups learning how a business excels and prioritizes customer's needs first. From his time leading security projects at Cequence, to researching and emulating APTs at Cybrary, to building agentic tooling at Casco, everything he's done has pointed to founding Praesec; this is built off of someone who's hands have truly been a part of it all.

He is an active member of the prestigious Synack Red Team and serves on the GIAC Advisory Board. Being a prior Petty Officer Second Class, challenges are nothing new to him and he's tackling them head-on.
